  • Studio Owner & Dance Instructor: Jill has been passionate about dance since her first lesson at Barbara Lynne School of Dance at the age of five. She continued her dance education in Hartford, Connecticut at The School of the Hartford Ballet. This was a unique post-secondary school specializing in dance education, where she trained in the Russian ballet curriculum, Vaganova methodology. Upon graduating from The School of the Hartford Ballet’s Teachers Training School, Jill taught for Columbus Youth Ballet, Dublin Dance Centre, and served as dance coordinator at the Delaware County Cultural Arts Center. Her commitment to learning, teaching, and growing as an artist are evident in The Arts Center’s success. Jill is certified to teach in ballet, tap, and jazz. She is a member of Dance Masters of America and a current board member of Ohio Dance Masters. Additionally, her choreography has won accolades on both the regional and national level. Jill continues her dance education each summer by attending Dance Masters of America’s Teachers Training School and Dance Teacher Summit. Jill's dancers have won many high-point awards, judges awards, technique awards, scholarships, and choreography awards. Jill has had the pleasure of choreographing for several local organizations, including Shawnee High School, Lima Central Catholic High School, Lima Symphony Orchestra, and Lima Junior Service League. Jill’s passion for dance and love of teaching creates a unique experience for her students. She is a driving force that makes her students excel and strives to offer the finest in dance education.

    Guest Artist/Instructor - Ohio native Drew made his industry debut on Live with Regis during Amazing Kids Week. Upon relocating to California, he trained at L.A.’s best studios including EDGE, Millennium, Fusion, and the PAC Annex. Drew is highly sought after as a performer, choreographer, master teacher, dance supervisor & dance captain. Drew also judges for NextStar, American Dance Awards, and Dance Masters of America. A former competitor himself, Drew’s titles include Jr. Mr. and Mr. Dance of America. Drew is certified by test to teach through DMA & is an active member in Chapter # 16, Ohio Dance Masters. Drew’s passion for dance circles the globe, with master classes, performances, and choreography year-round. Corporate and live entertainment credits include: GMC, Nestlé, Reebok, CitiGroup, Arbonne and American Greetings with Taylor Swift. Drew’s students have achieved many accolades, including Teen Miss Dance of Arizona, Male Dancer of the Year, Miss Dance of Ohio, and the newest, Mr. Dance of America. Drew’s national choreography merits include the Sherry Gold Memorial Choreography Award at DM, and Best Choreography at NextStar. Drew is currently a Dance Company Director at Above the Barre and is also on tour with Rasta Thomas’ “ROCK the Ballet” starring the Bad Boys of Dance.

    Dance Instructor - Gina has always had a passion for dance. She was born and raised in Cortland, Ohio, where she was a competitive dancer at Studio L Dance Center for 14 years. There she competed in many styles of dance, as well as studied Cecchetti Ballet with Suzanne Zahnow. In May 2015, Gina graduated cum laude with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the Ohio Northern University Raabe College of Pharmacy. Throughout college, she continued dancing, being a member of the Northern Stars Dance Team and performing in events at the Freed Center for the Performing Arts, including being a dancer in the ONU Holiday Spectacular Show and feature dancer in a performance by the River North Chicago Dance Company. However, since 2011, her greatest dance involvement has definitely been the opportunity to share her talents by teaching and choreographing at The Arts Center. Over the past five years, she is honored that her work has won numerous overalls and special judges awards. Gina is now in her last months of completing a post-graduate pharmacy residency program, and as of July 2016, signed on as a clinical pharmacist at Lima Memorial Health System. Gina is so grateful that even throughout her entire pharmacy journey, she has been able to remain so involved with the competition world she loves so much. She is excited that, since she is staying in the area, she will be able to stay together with her amazing Arts Center family. Gina will marry Ryan Sabol on August 12, 2017.

    Jill Lucke is a graduate of Elida High School and The Ohio State University with a bachelors degree in Elementary Education. She is mother of four children and has been a “dance mom” for over 15 years. Along with her husband Dan, they have built and designed many of the props at The Arts Center. Jill is a welcome addition this year and we love having her at the front desk to greet our Arts Center families.

    Front Desk - Micah has danced since the age of four and danced competitively for 10 years. After high school, Micah went to “Youth With A Mission” based out of Colorado for four years. She has recently graduated with a Bachelor's in Psychology and counseling from Liberty University. We're grateful to have her commanding our front desk and keeping us organized, and she con-currently works at Cornerstone of Hope Christian counseling and Point of Joy Dance Boutique. She married Jay Moore on September 3, 2016. Micah’s positive and enthusiastic personality is a perfect fit with The Arts Center. All of the dancers and parents love Miss Micah!

    Dance Instructor - Amanda Sroka is originally from Lima, Ohio, and she married Mitch Sroka July 30, 2016. She started her dance training at the age of five with Lyn's Academy of Dance. In 2011, Amanda graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kent State University with a B.F.A. degree in Dance Performance and Choreography. She has had the opportunity to work with the Dayton Contemporary Dance Second Company, Kim Robards Dance in Denver, Colorado, Seven Dance Company in Columbus, Verlezza Dance and Travesty Dance Group in Cleveland. Amanda was also trained as a gymnast, where she competed for eight years at the Lima Gymnastic Academy In Fall 2015, she received her Certification in Acrobatic Arts, a Professional Curriculum for Acrobatic Dance. Amanda is a member of the National Dance Education Organization, and currently she also serves an adjunct dance professor at Ohio Northern University. While at ONU, Amanda has helped put on Day of Dance for local studios, attended the ACDFA festival in Athens, Ohio, and performed in the Dancers Showcase 2015. Amanda has received many overall and choreography awards at both the regional and national level. She will choreograph in the Dancers Showcase, January 2017. This will be Amanda's 4th year teaching at The Arts Center, and she thanks her family and husband Mitch for all their love and support!

    Dance Instructor - Chandra is a graduate from The University of Akron and received her Bachelor's of Arts in dance. She has worked with a variety of choreographers, such as David Parson, from Parsons Dance; Lana Carroll Heylock, from Jennifer Muller's The Works; Tom Smith, from Martha Graham; Hernando Cortez, from Verb Ballet; the Doug Varone & Friends company; San Francisco Alonzo King LINES Ballet,and many others. Chandra has a passion for dance, but it doesn't stop there. She is also involved in the fitness world, with a certificate in The Pilates Method (matwork). She is also a license Zumba and Aqua Zumba instructor.
