Friday Fundamentals — A Master Series for YOU!  June 9-23

Fee: $50.00 per class or $125.00 for all 3 classes!!

Ages: 7-12 11:00-1:00 PM  •  Ages 13 & UP 2:00-4:00 PM

 

This is a master series that provides the perfect opportunity to learn and share experiences with leading dance artists. Each Friday we will focus on a different genre of dance taught by a guest artist who specializes in each subject. A great way to enhance your skills over the summer and learn some tricks of the trade from the professionals. Stay ahead of the competition and don’t miss out!

Jessica Johnson

Jessica is a seasoned, award winning aerial acrobat seen performing aerial acts for a wide variety of events such as charity and corporate events, festivals, nightlife entertainment, weddings, church & holiday  services, and has been cast in several dance theatre productions such as Cabaret, Romeo & Juliet and Titus Andronicus. She performs in the disciplines of aerial silks, aerial cube, lyra (aerial hoop), corde lisse (aerial rope), and vertical pole. Jessica has also produced and choreographed a full aerial arts production with sold out shows, and has been hired as lead aerial choreographer for various dance studios throughout the region.

Kaeylyn Gray

Kaelyn has been a teacher for 16 years, both at her home school near Cincinnati and traveling all across the United States and Canada as a a guest artist and instructor. Focusing on all styles of dance, she is a sought-after teacher and adjudicator who loves to bring her unique teaching style to kids all over the country! Her professional career began at age 18, as a featured performer in Cedar Point's ground-breaking tap/drum show "Krash Boom Bang," a first for theme parks. She was the youngest choreographer/creative director for Paramount's Kings Island and King's Dominion, creating a show named "Pulse" which toured for over 3 years.

Drew Burgess

Our own Drew is a former "Mr. Dance of America" and  recently toured in Rasta Thomas’ “ROCK the Ballet” starring the Bad Boys of Dance. Drew’s passion for dance circles the globe, with master classes, performances, and choreography year-round. Corporate and live entertainment credits include GMC, Nestlé, Reebok, CitiGroup, Arbonne, American Greetings with Taylor Swift. Drew’s students have earned many accolades, including: Teen Miss Dance of Arizona, Male Dancer of the Year, Miss Dance of Ohio, and Mr. Dance of America. Drew’s national choreography merits include the Sherry Gold Memorial Choreography Award at DMA and a choreography award at NextStar.

Summer Guest Artist - Zandra and Ally from Z Company

Sunday, July 16  •  Fee: $50.00

Ages 7-12 1:30-3:00 PM

Ages 13 and UP 3:30-5:00 PM

Zandra Thomas and Aly Moss from Z Company will  teach master classes on July 16! We are very excited to have these amazing teachers come to our studio. Zandra Thomas and Aly Moss own and operate Z Company Dance, one of the top pre-professional companies in the country. The duo’s unique style has made them highly sought after choreographers in the competitive dance world. Zandra and Aly travel to various studios and companies throughout the U.S. and abroad, sharing their unique and diverse choreography. Their work has been featured in TV spots for the NFL, The World Dance Cup of Italy, The New York City Dance Festival and the finals of the Capezio A.C.E. awards for choreography excellence. They choreographed and cast a Dream Girls concert in association with Tony award-winning actress Jennifer Holliday, and produced promotional work for Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Inductee Bootsy Collins.

Pretty Princess Power Pack Ages 4-6

Fee: $25 per day or $65.00 for all 3 classes!

Wednesdays 10:00 AM-11:30 AM

June 7 – Ballerina Princess

June 14 – Hawaiian Princess

June 21 – Unicorn and Rainbow Princess

Our Princess Power classes are a great way to learn about the world of dance while making new friends and having fun. Classes will incorporate music, dress-up days, storytelling, crafts, games, and more. You can register for one class or all three!!

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING   Wear something to match the theme of the day. Dancers can bring their favorite princess costumes, books, and toys to share.

 

Tumble and Cheer Class

Ages 4-8  5:30-6:30 PM Fee: $40.00

Tuesdays June 6-20

This class is designed for children of all skill levels. The focus will be more on forward tumbling such as front limber, aerials, roundoffs, and front tucks. We will also be focusing on cheerleading motion technique, jumps, and a cheer dance. This class is a great addition to the tumbling class.

 

Creative Movement Class

Ages 3-6 Fee: $25.00 5:30-6:00 PM Studio B

Tuesdays June 6 – June 20

This class will explore dancing with props, weekly themes, sing along songs and creative imaginative play while encouraging a love for dance. This is a wonderful and fun way to introduce the 3-4 year child to ballet technique, mat work, and dance vocabulary.

Diva Dance Days

Fee: $25 per day or $65.00 for all 3 classes!

Wednesdays 12:00-1:30 PM Ages 7-12

Our Diva Dance Days are for the too-cool pre-teen who dreams of being a star. Classes will incorporate music, makeovers, crafts, games—and, of course, some very fun dances! You can register for one class or all three!!

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING   Wear something to match the theme of the day.

 

Girls Just Want to Have Fun Class

Ages 7-10 • Fee: $30.00

Wednesdays June 7–June 21 5:30-6:15 PM

This fun, high-spirited class incorporates jazz and hip hop with energetic music. Perfect for your dancing diva to sample a variety of dance styles and techniques.

WHAT TO WEAR   Wear dance leotard, tights, pink ballet slippers, jazz shoes, or bare feet.

 

Tumbling Intermediate/Advance

Age 7 and Up • Fee: $40.00

Tuesdays June 6–20 6:30-7:30 PM

This class is designed for children who have mastered their back walkover. From intermediates to advanced, your children will be working on back handsprings on up through tucks, aerials, and cross tumbling.

WHAT TO WEAR   Wear leotard with shorts over, and bare feet.

 

Broadway-Bound Camp

Ages 7–12  • Fee: $65.00

July 12-14 10:00 AM–11:30 AM

Do you love theatre, singing, and dancing? Enroll in our musical theatre camp! This daytime camp enables theater-loving kids, ages 7-14, to develop their confidence, character, and presentation skills through ensemble performance. We will immerse your child in Broadway hits and most-loved movie musicals. We will cover a variety of skills, including drama, singing, and dancing to a variety of hit musicals!

WHAT TO WEAR   Comfortable clothing you can move in, and bare feet.

 

Leaps and Turns Technique Class

Ages 6-12 • Fee: $40.00

Wednesdays June 7–June 21

 6:30–7:30 PM

Join us Wednesday nights in June to strengthen and perfect your dance technique. This will be a great class to keep you on top of your game over the summer. Dancers interested in joining our Performance Dance Company are encouraged to attend this class to prepare for auditions in July.

WHAT TO WEAR   Wear dance attire, jazz shoes, or bare feet.

Barre Fitness and Dance Conditioning

Ages 13 & up • Fee: $40.00

Tuesday June 6–20

6:00-7:00 PM  - Studio B

Barre Fitness and Dance Conditioning is a total body workout, tones your thighs, abs, and arms, and burns fat. It is a non-impact training utilizing isometrics and deep stretching to tone, strengthen, and condition the body. Participants can limit or expand their range of motion to suit their needs. The ballet barre is used to provide added safety and support proper alignment. Light weights and resistance bands are occasionally used, but not required. No experience is necessary!

WHAT TO WEAR  Wear comfortable workout attire. Ballet shoes are optional
