Our Summer Classes For All Ages!

FRIDAY FUNDAMENTALS GUEST ARTISTS!

Jonny Zakian

After graduating from The Hammond Theatre School (UK) with a Professional Diploma in Musical Theatre, Jonny embarked on a professional career working with the likes of Alton Towers, Small Local Event Companies, Disney Land Paris and Carnival Cruises, where he performed as resident Singer/Dancer in the onboard cast of the Costa Magica. While still working for Carnival, he graduated with an upper class BA Honors in Theatre from Guildford School of Acting in Surrey, UK.  Upon returning to the UK, his path drew him to exploring creative aspects of work which lie behind the scenes. He began to work for an artist management agency (KMC Agencies in Manchester, England) representing some of the most notable West End Musical Theatre Talent in the UK and across Europe. During this time he was also involved in teaching a variety of rep classes across different disciplines to youth theaters and dance schools in the area. His behind the scenes path eventually led me to a Masters in Business Program through Manchester University Business School. This gave him the opportunity to explore and exercise some more of the business oriented aspects of the industry. Jonny devised a thesis paper centric to the concerns of employability within the arts and how education/resources/amenities can enable those who struggle to access professional income in the arts can maximize their own skill set to increase profitability and resilience. He has devised a business plan for an online platform which would tackle this exact problem.
