Ashley Buersmeyer
Dance Instructor
Ashley Reed has been a dance instructor since 2017. She graduated from Kent State University with her BFA in Dance Performance. At Kent, she trained in Lester Horton, May O’Donnell, Erick Hawkins and Lynn Simonson techniques as well as other various styles. While attending the university, Ashley was a member of the Kent Dance Ensemble, a pre-professional company that performed and provided outreach opportunities in the North-East Ohio area. Upon graduation from Kent State’s School of Theatre and Dance, Ashley taught for Kinderdance of Columbus. She is currently an instructor at The Arts Center School of Music and Dance and an adjunct instructor at Ohio Northern University. At The Arts Center, Ashley teaches students of all ages in the genres of ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, hip hop and tap. Her competitive students have won various technique and choreography awards at the regional and national level. At Ohio Northern, Ashley teaches ballet, modern and jazz classes. In addition to teaching, she enjoys choreographing for the ONU Dance Company. Dance has always been a passion for Ashley so she’s thrilled to be able to make a career of it and share her talents with students of all ages.
